Clever temporary implants
Simply great
Simply great. These “Smile4Flex” (Valpast) temporary implants made of nylon are one of our laboratory’s best sellers. Dentists and patients love them. The flexible, hypoallergenic material clings perfectly to the jaw and is also hypoallergenic. The graceful design of the base offers a comfortable wearing experience without irritating metal clips. Those temporary implants are being produced cost-effectively abroad. The only disadvantage is the shipping time of 2 weeks and that they can’t be expanded or lined.
CLEARsplint
For a quick immediate restoration, “CLEARsplint” temporary implants are the right choice. They are made of MMA-free thermoplastic used in occlusal splint therapy and are also hypoallergenic and flexible. They can be lined and expanded which is why customers prefer them (especially if a quick solution is needed).
Whole arch restoration
If enough bone material is available, an immediate restoration with immediate loading can be made starting at six implants. In this case, the patient was from abroad. She had surgery on Monday and had to fly home on Thursday. We had articulated models for our preparation through which the occlusion had been secured. We made an individual impression tray with bite-stops in original occlusion. This way, we were able to do the bite registration procedure while taking the impression.
The screwed solution
The screwed solution offers optimal conditions for possible later corrections. The construction needs to remain in the mouth for at least six months until the whole bone remodeling is finished. A very gentle surgery procedure ensures scar free tissue und perfect gingiva conditions.
New Locator-System 1
We had the chance to test this innovative retention element in our laboratory before it was launched. The new Locator-F-Tx-System by Zest is an ingenious connection system for fixed dentures with incredible features. An angle compensation of up to 40° is possible and the support of the matrices is completely metallic. There is no wear of the synthetic retention elements in angled implants unlike the old Locator-System, therefore one might be able to do without angled superstructures in the field of dentures.
New Locator System-2
We integrated this new retention element into a long-term temporary for test purposes. We see a real chance that this procedure can be used with fixed ceramic bridges, too.
